About this policy
This policy applies to the SpanCut Android app, package com.spancut.workshop, and explains how its developer handles information. For privacy questions or app support, contact apexnode.dev@gmail.com.
Information stored on your device
Project names, material notes, stock and sheet dimensions, grain and rotation settings, entered stock prices, cutting settings, generated plans and checked cuts are saved in the app’s private local storage. The app uses this information only to provide cut planning, project management and exports. We cannot access those projects remotely.
SpanCut has no account system, advertising, analytics, tracking SDK, background upload or network permission. It does not collect device identifiers, location, contacts, photos or payment information.
Importing and exporting files
You choose which backup or CSV file the app reads, using Android’s file picker. When you export a PDF, CSV or backup, you choose its destination. Share PDF uses Android’s share sheet to send the file to the app you select. SpanCut does not send that file to the developer. If you choose a cloud storage or sharing provider, that provider handles the file under its own privacy policy. An exported file may include the project names or notes you entered.
Purchases
Google Play processes app purchases under Google’s terms and privacy policy. The SpanCut app does not receive your card details or other payment information. Google may provide the developer with purchase reports required to operate the store listing.
Support email
If you contact apexnode.dev@gmail.com, the developer receives the email address, message and attachments you choose to send. These are used to respond, troubleshoot problems and fulfill applicable obligations. Email is processed by our email provider, Google. Do not include sensitive personal information or private project files unless they are needed for your request.
Support correspondence is retained only as long as needed to resolve and document the request or meet legal obligations. You can request its deletion using the same address. The app itself does not collect or upload support messages.
Retention, deletion and backups
Projects remain on your device until you delete them, clear the app’s storage or uninstall it. Delete a project from its More → Delete project menu. Android app cloud backup and device transfer are disabled. Export a project backup before changing devices.
You control exported copies separately. Deleting a project inside SpanCut does not delete a file you saved elsewhere. Temporary export files are held in the app’s private cache and may be cleared by Android or by clearing app storage.
Security
Local project files use Android’s app-private storage, and writes use an atomic save procedure to reduce the risk of an incomplete save. The app does not add its own password or encryption layer; device security and Android’s protections still apply. Exported files are ordinary documents, so save them only where you intend.
Children
SpanCut is a workshop planning tool intended for adults. It has no child-directed features and does not knowingly collect children’s personal information.
This policy website
This page has no analytics, advertising, forms or app tracking. The hosting provider may process standard connection information, such as IP address and request logs, to deliver and secure the website. This is separate from the offline Android app.
Changes to this policy
If data handling changes, this page and the in-app policy will be updated with a new effective date. Any required disclosures will also be updated in Google Play.
